Concrete from the Ground Up

Concrete from the Ground Up

Fascinating on every page! I learned so much about concrete because the presentation is concise, packed with information, but flowing and moving with narrative ease.

I found out the difference between concrete and cement (do you know?)

I was introduced to real sites around the world that are built from concrete, some familiar, but many unknown to me.

Particularly interesting is how concrete was developed to build structures in water that wouldn’t eventually dissolve or wash away.

The text is jazzed up with dialogue bubbles, providing movement and energy.

The illustrations are intricate with a cartoon flavor, providing delicious details to rouse imagination.

Comprehensive strength? Tensile strength? After reading this book, I believe readers will be inspired into careers as civil engineers!

For readers who read to digest facts and those who read to understand the real world around them, this book is highly recommended.
